Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree preferred
  • minimum 3 years experience in hospitality or event planning
  • strong expertise in hospitality, event logistics, catering and AV coordination
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
  • ability to remain on feet for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • flexibility to work evenings or variable shifts
  • willingness to travel regionally up to 15% of the time

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years experience in hospitality or meeting/event planner role
  • strong expertise in hospitality services, event logistics, food & beverage catering, and audio-visual coordination
  • excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • knowledge of local hospitality market and vendors
  • familiarity with industry software and scheduling platforms such as Reserve
  • professional appearance and dress
  • ability to work evenings or variable shifts
  • willingness to travel regionally

Job Duties

  • act as a trusted consultant for clients to clarify objectives and shape meeting design
  • independently manage meetings and events from conception through completion
  • build long-term client relationships by understanding business needs
  • communicate event changes to onsite operational teams and clients
  • lead and facilitate cross-functional planning meetings with Hospitality, AV, Facilities, and other partners
  • evaluate event objectives and recommend enhancements or new service offerings
  • oversee all logistical elements including room setup, audio visual coordination, catering, and materials
  • develop cost proposals, manage budgets and provide post-event recaps
  • identify operational inefficiencies and lead process improvement
  • manage catering and vendor relationships
  • coordinate staffing including external resources
  • maintain conference spaces to the highest standards
  • collaborate proactively with AV team for technology operations and troubleshooting
  • stay current on industry trends and implement improvements
  • undertake additional projects assigned by Hospitality Leadership Team
