The Event Technician role at CBRE is designed for a proactive, enthusiastic individual who thrives on delivering exceptional event support and facilities services. Serving as a vital link between the Events and Facilities Management teams, the Event Technician is responsible for overseeing operational activities related to events, including vendor oversight and management of equipment and supplies. This position requires outstanding communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams to ensure smooth event execution and superior client experiences.
In this role, the Event Technician will engage in the full event lifecycle, from initial client collaboration to the day-of execution of a variety of events ranging from small meetings to elaborate productions. Key responsibilities include setting up and tearing down event rooms, managing furniture and décor arrangements, and ensuring all requests are handled promptly with adherence to key performance indicators. The Event Technician will coordinate with various departments such as internal and external production teams, catering, security, facilities, and janitorial services to facilitate seamless event operations.
The position demands an individual comfortable with multitasking and managing multiple event spaces across buildings while maintaining organization and cleanliness through daily walkthroughs and inventory checks. Beyond event-specific duties, the technician may also provide reception and guest support, manage mail and courier services, and assist with office supplies and safety and security functions. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated, confident, and possess flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed. Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly is required.
