Job Description

CBRE is a global leader in commercial real estate services and investment, dedicated to helping businesses and individuals thrive in dynamic and ever-evolving markets. With a focus on innovation, respect, integrity, service, and excellence, CBRE fosters a collaborative culture that embraces diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and skillsets. The company offers its employees opportunities to chart their own career paths and realize their potential while benefiting from a supportive and inclusive work environment. CBRE's commitment extends to providing equal employment opportunities for all qualified applicants, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, veteran status, political belief, or any other protected status under applicable laws. Furthermore, CBRE ensures reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities throughout the recruitment and application processes.

The role of Meeting and Events Supervisor at CBRE sits within the Workplace Experience function, a vital team responsible for delivering world-class customer service to the clients and visitors of designated buildings. This role is critical in supervising the team that handles the coordination and execution of meeting setups, events, furniture moves, and box relocations. The Meeting and Events Supervisor has a hands-on approach, overseeing daily operations and actively participating in event setups and logistical moves. This position demands not only strong leadership but also an operational mindset to ensure smooth event delivery and client satisfaction.

As a Meeting and Events Supervisor, you will provide formal supervision to employees, ensuring their ongoing training and development within a busy, client-focused environment. You will coordinate daily team activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff to optimize efficiency and flexibility. Acting as a secondary on-site event operations supervisor, you will handle event execution from start to finish, ensuring seamless delivery according to client requests and operational standards. You will also coordinate with external partners, vendors, and event professionals to support team efforts.

A key responsibility is managing manpower allocation and drafting event layouts while proactively addressing and resolving any issues that arise. You must also ensure compliance with safety, security, and other location-specific requirements pertaining to event operations. Identifying opportunities for improvements is another critical aspect of this position, as you will review and suggest enhancements to processes, procedures, and systems to boost team productivity and effectiveness. Generating reports and performing evaluations to measure performance and outcomes will form part of your regular duties.

Problem solving is essential in this role, as you will need to resolve complex challenges and possibly establish new approaches or techniques to meet and exceed team objectives. Leading by example, you will model behaviors reflecting CBRE’s core values and guide the team through the application of best practices. The position requires strong interpersonal skills to foster consensus-building and positive engagement within the team and across related groups. Join CBRE and be part of a forward-thinking organization that values innovation, diversity, and excellence in commercial real estate service delivery.
