The role of Meeting & Events Planner at CBRE is an exciting opportunity within the Workplace Experience function. This position involves managing a team responsible for delivering exceptional workplace experience services, including concierge, reception, meeting and event management, as well as administrative office duties. The Meeting & Events Planner plays a pivotal role in coordinating team activities by establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Beyond team management, this role requires building trusted relationships with clients, partners, and associates to effectively manage priorities and resolve conflicts. The planner also takes an active role in process improvement, strategic solution development, and vendor partnership management to drive cost efficiencies. This includes overseeing third-party vendor programs such as food delivery, event organization, transportation, and mail distribution services.

The Meeting & Events Planner applies their expertise to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, leads by example, and models behaviors aligned with CBRE's core values. Job Duties

  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities
  • Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines
  • Mentor and coach as needed
  • Build and maintain a trusted client relationship
  • Negotiate with clients, partners, and associates to resolve conflicting priorities

  • Always follow safety standards with employees, clients, and vendors
  • Develop vendor partnerships with the intention of cost saving efforts
  • Manage negotiations for contract services
  • Confirm that all vendors have current proof of insurance and contractual documentation
  • Oversee programs run by third party vendors, including food delivery, organizing events, providing transportation, or mail distribution
  • Ensure all invoices for business services are billed
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values
  • Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how it integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues
