The role of Meeting & Events Furniture Coordinator at CBRE is an exciting and pivotal position within the Workplace Experience function. This role focuses on ensuring that furniture setup and logistics for meetings, conferences, and events run seamlessly across a multi-building campus. The coordinator will handle a wide range of tasks that include the careful handling of furniture, commercial goods, and boxes, making sure these items are delivered and positioned in perfect condition according to detailed floor plans and layouts provided. This position demands someone who is detail-oriented, physically capable, and possesses strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

As a Furniture Coordinator, you will be responsible for the installation and teardown of system furniture, collaborating closely with vendors, and managing teams to ensure all setup processes meet organizational standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • up to 2 years of job-related experience
  • fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs
  • must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs or more
  • strong teamwork, punctuality, and problem-solving abilities
  • prior moving or warehouse experiences
  • ability to use hand tools and moving equipment like dollies, hand trucks, and pallet jacks
  • ability to follow basic work routines and standards
  • communication skills to exchange straightforward information
  • working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • strong organizational skills
  • applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Job Duties

  • Assist with furniture set up for meetings, conferences, and events as directed and according to provided floor plans and layouts
  • general handling of furniture, commercial goods, and boxes across a multi building campus with the primary objective to deliver and move items in perfect condition
  • perform installation and tear down of system furniture as directed and according to provided floor plans and layouts
  • use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having limited opportunity to exercise discretion
  • manage and lead teams of vendor partners as directed and according to provided floor plans and layouts
  • manage daily tasks in order to complete all action by required due date, complete paperwork required to track work, hours, and tasks
  • deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance
