The company focuses on simplifying IT infrastructure and transforming data centers with its software-defined solutions that combine storage, computing, and virtualization in a unified platform. Nutanix prides itself on fostering a culture centered around core values such as being Hungry, Humble, Honest, and having a Heart, which reflects its commitment to employee engagement, inclusivity, and high ethical standards.
This current opening is for a Meeting & Event Coordinator role based in their Durham office, offering a unique opportunity to join a small but dynamic Facilities team. The role is full-time, onsite, and emphasizes a proactive, detail-oriented approach to planning and executing internal meetings, events, and corporate programs. The Meeting & Event Coordinator will play a critical role partnering with internal teams and external vendors to deliver seamless, engaging, and high-quality event experiences that support Nutanix’s business objectives and enhance workplace culture.
The position requires managing all logistical aspects of event planning including catering, audiovisual setup, space configuration, coordination with IT and facilities, vendor management, budget tracking, and post-event activities. The role is hands-on, requiring active participation in event setup, execution, and teardown to ensure flawless delivery. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent organizational skills, communication acumen, and stakeholder management capabilities. They will be responsible for maintaining food and supply inventories, creating detailed event timelines and diagrams, and supporting employee engagement initiatives through seasonal and special programs designed to promote well-being and a positive office atmosphere.
Compensation for this role ranges between USD $45,600 and $68,400 annually, reflecting the candidate’s experience, skills, and market location. In addition to a competitive base salary, Nutanix offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, financial benefits, 401(k) eligibility, and paid time off such as vacation, sick leave, and parental leave. The company emphasizes an at-will employment arrangement, with the flexibility to modify compensation in alignment with performance and market factors.
Joining Nutanix as a Meeting & Event Coordinator means becoming part of a mission-driven organization that values its employees and strives to create a collaborative and inclusive workplace. This role is key to fostering employee engagement and supporting the company’s culture through well-executed events and programs. It suits candidates with 2-4 years of relevant experience who are eager to contribute their administrative, logistical, and interpersonal skills in a vital supporting capacity. The position requires a candidate comfortable with onsite work, able to handle physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds, and passionate about delivering memorable experiences that align with business priorities and employee satisfaction.
