The restaurant is currently seeking a part-time Bartender to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring all guests have a memorable experience by providing outstanding customer service at the bar. The position is non-exempt with an hourly rate of $16.90 plus tips, reflecting the importance of skill and dedication in this role. Responsibilities include greeting guests, preparing drinks according to standard recipes, handling transactions efficiently, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar environment. Additionally, the bartender may assist with general cleaning and supporting waitstaff during busy periods.

This role requires a professional who is knowledgeable about alcoholic beverages, cocktail preparation, and current service laws. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work flexibly during evenings and weekends. The physical demands of the job include standing for long hours, bending, lifting, and manual dexterity. Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience as a bartender in a restaurant or upscale lounge environment
  • must have a valid California Food Handler's Card
  • must have thorough knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, preparation methods, glassware, equipment, and service
  • must have current knowledge of legal aspects of alcoholic beverage service (TIPS certified or ability to obtain certification)
  • must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • exceptional customer service skills
  • basic computer skills
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet and serve guests at the bar
  • pour drinks using standard pour specifications
  • handle cash and credit card transactions
  • clean and stock bar daily
  • record accurate tip out sheets daily
  • assist with cleaning of operational areas
  • assist staff in serving tables
