Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly
  • Previous dementia experience preferred
  • Certification required according to state regulations
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Full use of hands, arms, and legs
  • Ability to read thermometers, charts, and operate appliances

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to speak English clearly
  • Knowledge and experience working with elderly residents
  • Previous dementia care experience preferred
  • Certification as Medication Technician in accordance with state regulations

Job Duties

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents
  • Maintain accurate medication and treatment records
  • Assist residents with daily living activities as a caregiver
  • Monitor residents for medication side effects and report changes
  • Follow state and facility regulations regarding medication administration
  • Provide compassionate support to elderly residents, including those with dementia
  • Operate medical and household equipment as needed
