Job Description

Humana Inc. is a leading healthcare company in the United States with a strong reputation for integrating insurance services and healthcare to improve the lives of millions. Through its Humana insurance services and CenterWell healthcare services, the company is dedicated to helping millions achieve their best health by delivering the care and services they need, precisely when they need it. Humana serves diverse populations including those with Medicare and Medicaid, families, individuals, military service members, and communities across the nation. With over 10 million sales interactions annually, Humana recognizes that while great products form the backbone of their offerings, it is the exceptional quality of service that truly distinguishes them in the healthcare sector. This focus on service strengthens the company’s connection with its members and prospects, truly embodying the company’s commitment to putting health first.

The MarketPoint Career Channel Team at Humana is currently seeking motivated and accomplished Medicare Sales Field Agents to join their collaborative, field-based team. Positioned in a dynamic team of 8 to 12 agents, this role reports to a Senior Manager and Regional Director who provide dedicated support and are committed to fostering agent success and growth. This position requires residency within the designated local territory to effectively serve and grow the community. The agents play a crucial role in executing Humana’s broader strategy by delivering on service fundamentals, differentiating through personalized and exceptional service, and expanding the company’s reach and influence in the Medicare market.

In this role, Field Agents are tasked with building trust and educating individuals about Humana’s Medicare Advantage plans and additional coverage options including life insurance, dental, vision, and prescription benefits. Candidates are expected to leverage grassroots marketing initiatives, in-home visits, and participation in community events to create meaningful, face-to-face connections that elevate Humana above its competitors. The position strongly emphasizes a personalized approach that fosters genuine relationships and demonstrates a commitment to consumers’ health and wellbeing. Agents will also be responsible for generating sales through self-driven efforts to meet established performance targets and contribute to the growth of Humana’s market presence.

This full-time role requires a commitment to working approximately 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends to meet with members by appointment or attend community events. Training is an important element of the onboarding process, with the first five weeks requiring mandatory attendance. Candidates should be prepared for occasional travel to Humana offices for training and meetings despite the field-based and remote nature of the role.

Humana provides an attractive compensation package with a salary range estimated between $80,000 and $125,000 per year, including base pay and commission with a guarantee; actual earnings depend on performance and geographical location. The company supports employee development through continuous learning opportunities such as tuition reimbursement or scholarships for qualifying dependents.

Working at Humana offers numerous benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a company match. Employees also enjoy supplemental insurance options and various programs designed to promote work-life balance and community involvement. As an equal opportunity employer, Humana is committed to creating an inclusive workplace free from discrimination, ensuring all employment decisions are based on valid job requirements and merit. The company actively supports veterans and individuals with disabilities by adhering to affirmative action policies.

Joining Humana as a Medicare Sales Field Agent offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives by connecting them with the right healthcare coverage and services. This role is ideal for professionals who are personable, community-focused, and highly motivated to succeed while delivering outstanding member experiences. With the full support of experienced leadership and a respected brand, agents have the tools and resources to thrive in a growing healthcare market.
