We are currently seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team in Katy, TX. This full-time in-person role is pivotal to expanding our client base and enhancing our medical travel services with an emphasis on financial growth through strategic acquisition of new insurance providers and employer group accounts. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of medical travel and insurance experience, coupled with a passion for business development, client relationship management, and sales strategy execution.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a growth strategy that aligns with American Medical Care’s goals to maximize financial gains and elevate customer satisfaction. This includes acquiring corporate accounts by building sustainable relationships with key decision-makers such as HR managers and facilitators. You will identify, negotiate, and contract with hospitals, insurance providers, and employer-sponsored health insurance groups to broaden our service network and market reach. Rigorous research and analytics will support the identification of new markets and client needs, ensuring that our offerings remain competitive and relevant.
This role requires proactive engagement in arranging and leading business meetings with prospective clients, advocating for our services to meet client and member needs effectively. Maintaining accurate records of sales activity, revenue streams, invoices, and accounts receivables will be essential responsibilities, as will providing continuous feedback and post-sale support to clients and patients to foster long-term client loyalty. You will oversee the training and supervision of the medical travel concierge team, ensuring a high standard of performance and client service.
In addition to client and team management, you will manage vendor relationships, including partners and freelancers, and facilitate innovative content creation like podcast videos featuring surgeons and partners discussing healthcare topics relevant to our clients and audience. Monitoring and reporting on monthly KPIs, including sales averages, lead generation, turnaround time, and profit margins, will be critical to driving performance improvements and ensuring compliance with client-specific goals.
Marketing coordination also falls within this role’s purview, including managing consulting vendors, approving newsletters and online content, and executing weekly email campaigns with performance tracking. Attendance at the annual medical travel industry conference will keep you abreast of industry trends and networking opportunities. This position offers a competitive salary range of $50,484 to $59,161 per year with sales bonuses, rewarding your contribution to our ongoing success.

Job Requirements
- BSc/BA/master’s degree in business administration, sales, or a relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales and client relationship management
- Experience with travel booking tools, CRM software, and MS Office
- Ability to work full-time, in-person in Katy, TX
- Availability during business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience or knowledge in medical travel, insurance, healthcare, or related fields
Job Qualifications
- 3 years of sales and client relationship management experience
- Start-up experience or desire to work with a start-up
- Proven experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role
- Proven sales track record
- Experience in customer support is a plus
- Proficiency using travel booking tool, Zoho CRM, and MS Office
- Travel, hospitality, healthcare and/or insurance industry experience is desired
- Online marketing and social media optimization skills are highly desired
- Strong communication and negotiation skill
- Ability to build rapport with new clients
- Strong time management and planning skills
