Job Description
ScribeAmerica is a leading healthcare company dedicated to improving the medical field by providing skilled medical scribes who support doctors during patient visits. With an extensive presence of over 3,000 locations nationwide, ScribeAmerica is recognized as a top workplace by reputable organizations such as Forbes and Handshake. The company offers flexible work arrangements including full-time and part-time positions, catering to diverse schedules and career goals. ScribeAmerica is committed to investing in its employees by providing industry-leading training programs and development resources, making it an excellent choice for those eager to start or advance their healthcare careers.
The role of a Medical Scribe at ScribeAmerica is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in medicine by working directly alongside physicians. Medical Scribes play a critical role in documenting real-time patient visits, capturing medical history, physical exams, treatments, lab results, and prescriptions. By handling the detailed recording of patient information, Medical Scribes enable doctors to focus more on patient care rather than administrative tasks. This role offers valuable exposure to various healthcare settings such as outpatient clinics and emergency departments and includes the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems. Additionally, Scribes adhere to strict guidelines including HIPAA regulations to ensure patient records are accurately maintained and secured.
Beyond the fundamental duties, ScribeAmerica provides an enriching work environment with continuous mentorship, clinical instruction, and the chance to shadow physicians. The company uniquely supports career growth and educational advancement through tuition discount programs with partners like Ross University School of Medicine, Purdue Global, and Kaplan prep courses, among others. Employees also benefit from competitive perks such as health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, referral bonuses, and 401k plans for full-time team members. The company prides itself on fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture, ensuring a supportive workplace for all employees.
Scribes at ScribeAmerica enjoy various schedule options ranging from part-time positions offering 2-3 shifts per week to full-time roles with 3-4 shifts per week. Shift times vary and can include morning, evening, and overnight schedules to accommodate different lifestyles. The company’s wide range of specialties and locations allows each employee to be matched with the best fit for their interests, location, and availability. Whether working in a fast-paced emergency department or a consistently scheduled outpatient office, Medical Scribes gain invaluable exposure to healthcare alongside patients and medical teams. Employees are provided with paid training through Scribe University, taught with hands-on clinical exercises ensuring they are fully prepared before starting.
ScribeAmerica emphasizes equal employment opportunities and is committed to nondiscrimination in hiring and workplace practices, promoting respect and growth for all. Wages are competitive and may vary depending on the location, experience, and state regulations. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about healthcare and eager to build on their knowledge and skills with a reputable, growing company that values employee success and patient care excellence.
