Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum three months clerical or customer service experience preferably in medical or health provider environment
  • ability to perform basic math calculations
  • ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • ability to see, speak with customers and observe equipment operation
  • ability to stand and walk up to 100 percent of time
  • ability to reach, bend, kneel and demonstrate manual dexterity
  • ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • ability to work in fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures and blood borne pathogens
  • willingness to wear personal protective equipment as required
  • willingness to work overtime and extended hours as needed to support operations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of three months experience in clerical or customer service related position preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to perform basic math calculations

  • ability to maintain confidentiality

  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process in compliance with SOPs
  • perform health screening procedures including blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature
  • perform finger stick to obtain donor hematocrit and total protein levels
  • educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products and donation process upon completion of training
  • register applicant and transfer donors as needed
  • answer telephone and address donor inquiries or transfer to appropriate staff
  • maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff
  • alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues
  • ensure accurate recording of donor data in electronic management system
  • maintain clean and efficient work environment and ensure sufficient supplies
  • follow health, safety, and environmental policies including OSHA guidelines
  • maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information
  • perform cross-training in other areas as required
  • utilize bilingual skills if applicable
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
