Penn Medicine - Becker ENT & Allergy is a rapidly expanding, multi-specialty medical practice with multiple locations across Philadelphia as well as Central and South Jersey. The practice is comprised of a dedicated team including otolaryngologists, audiologists, facial plastic surgeons, allergists, speech-language pathologists, and nurse practitioners. This comprehensive team approach allows the practice to offer specialized care across a broad spectrum of health issues, ensuring patients receive expert treatment tailored to their unique needs. The position available is for a Medical Receptionist based in Central Jersey. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience as a medical receptionist preferred
- one year of experience as a medical assistant preferred
- ability to work full time during day shift Monday to Friday
- must be COVID-19 vaccinated and boosted or have approved medical or religious exemption
- strong customer service skills
- ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- proficiency with computer applications and medical software
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience as a medical receptionist preferred
- one year of experience as a medical assistant preferred

- familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as Epic
- good communication and organizational skills
- ability to assist providers during procedures
Job Duties
- Greet patients and vendors
- obtain and enter patient demographic information into the Epic System
- check patients in and out
- room patients, take their vital signs and input into the EMR System
- schedule appointments for return and new patients
- review any documents given to patient by provider
- answer incoming calls regarding scheduling appointments or prior authorizations for imaging or medication refills
- assist providers in procedures
- follow daily routine opening checklist and closing checklist
- ensure each patient room is fully stocked
- keep front reception area clean and organized
- inform office manager if the office is running low on office or medical supplies
- perform general clerical duties including scanning charts into EMR system, follow up calls to patients, and use of email, phone, computers, and Google Apps
