Job Description
ECHO Community Healthcare is a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services to all members of the community. This includes individuals who are insured, uninsured, under-insured, and even homeless populations. With a team of over 100 passionate and committed professionals, ECHO Community Healthcare has established itself as a vital resource within the community. Serving approximately 15,000 patients, the organization operates six full-time clinics that offer a wide range of clinical and community outreach services. The mission of ECHO is deeply rooted in serving and making a positive difference in the lives of others within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The organization is currently seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join the clinical team at their Peds & Prenatal Clinic. This role is pivotal in ensuring an efficient and welcoming experience for patients as they enter the clinic. Operating Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, this position offers regular daytime hours with no requirement for evenings, weekends or holidays, making it an ideal role for those seeking work-life balance. Additionally, the Medical Receptionist is entitled to 13 paid holidays and access to benefits starting on day one of employment.
As the first point of contact for patients, the Medical Receptionist will provide front desk coverage and patient greeting services. Key responsibilities include entering patient data, managing patient registration, cashier duties, completing forms, phone triage to other healthcare professionals, filing, and updating electronic medical records including scanning of documents. This role requires attention to detail and excellent customer service skills to facilitate smooth patient flow and support clinical staff.
The position is based in an outpatient clinic focused on primary care services, particularly servicing pediatric and prenatal patients. Working within this healthcare setting demands a compassionate demeanor, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task effectively. Preferred qualifications include proficiency with EPIC electronic health record systems and bilingual communication skills, particularly Spanish, to better serve the diverse patient base.
ECHO Community Healthcare also offers a competitive benefit package to support the well-being of its employees. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, life insurance, an employee assistance program (EAP), and a 403(b) retirement plan with a 50% employer match. These benefits demonstrate the organization's commitment to providing a supportive work environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Overall, the Medical Receptionist role at ECHO Community Healthcare is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a difference in the healthcare field while working in a structured, collaborative, and caring environment. Those interested in applying should be prepared to contribute to a team that values service, compassion, and excellence in patient care.
