Working a typical schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, the position occasionally requires evening or weekend hours to accommodate department needs. The Medical Receptionist I is a vital frontline representative of the department, responsible for managing incoming calls, greeting and scheduling patients, and collecting payments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate courteous and professional communication with patients, visitors, and clinical staff, providing a positive first impression for the department. This position is designed for an individual who appreciates the importance of delivering patient-centered service with accuracy and efficiency in a medical office setting.

Beyond the fundamental duties, the Medical Receptionist I contributes significantly to the smooth operation of the clinical office by organizing patient paperwork, facilitating referrals, and assisting with the reconciliation of daily payments. Because the position is patient-facing and involves sensitive information, it demands discretion, diplomacy, and tact. The Medical Receptionist I must be punctual, reliable, and capable of working independently under general supervision while embodying the University's core values and mission in every interaction.
