Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of receptionist experience
  • Previous experience in an orthopedic clinic preferred
  • Ability to travel between clinic locations
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Ability to perform tasks in a temperature-controlled environment
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds using proper techniques
  • Willingness to comply with HIPAA and OSHA standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of receptionist experience and/or previous orthopedic clinic experience
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with medical receptionist protocols and clinic operations
  • Ability to manage patient information accurately
  • Experience with AIDET process or willingness to learn
  • Professionalism in handling patient interactions

Job Duties

  • Obtains patient's demographic information, verifies insurance, checks patient into the clinic
  • Welcomes patients and effectively uses the AIDET process
  • Organizes charts for providers and manages late add-ons
  • Collects and enters co-pays and self-pays accurately and updates patient remarks
  • Manages difficult or emotional patient situations professionally
  • Manages imaging orders and sends them to appropriate resources
  • Proactively checks out each patient and produces work/school slips
  • Opens and closes the office to prepare for clinic days
  • Performs other duties as required to support the clinic
  • Follows all HIPAA and OSHA standards
  • Travels between multiple clinic locations as needed
