Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a medical receptionist or similar role
- Experience with patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and payment collection
- Proficiency in AthenaOne EHR system
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding concepts
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Conversational or fluent Portuguese
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a medical receptionist or patient access representative
- Experience with patient scheduling and registration
- Knowledge of insurance verification and payment collection processes
- Familiarity with AthenaOne EHR
- Experience in primary care or specialty outpatient practice
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding concepts
- Fluent in English and Spanish, conversational or fluent Portuguese
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Job Duties
- Greet and check in patients in person and via telephone
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Collect patient payments and process billing
- Maintain accurate patient records and data entry
- Provide front office support to clinical staff
- Communicate effectively in English, Spanish, and Portuguese with patients
