Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general educational development (G.E.D.) required
- Six months previous customer service experience preferred
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Skilled in computer operation including mouse and keyboard
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work in a diverse healthcare environment
- Ability to work as a team
- Ability to keep patient information confidential
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend various documents
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Capable of medium light work exerting up to 35 pounds of force
- Willingness to work 12 hour shifts with rotating weekends
- Availability to work in Downtown Omaha Urgent Care location
Job Qualifications

- Ability to read, write, and comprehend various written reports and documents
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Job Duties
- Register patients for appointments by collecting and verifying patient demographics, insurance information, and other essential information
- Greet, direct, and assist patients with questions to facilitate patient care in a prompt and polite manner
- Answer telephone to schedule appointments, take messages, direct calls to appropriate personnel, and handle other patient matters
- Prepare records for office visits by reviewing electronic medical records to accelerate patient care
- Handle insurance inquiries by answering questions, assisting with referrals, and completing appropriate paperwork
- Process and distribute written communication and documents accurately
- Provide care specific to the age of the patient to ensure understanding and comfort
