Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent or a combination of education and related work experience
  • associate's degree or equivalent or a combination of education and related work experience preferred
  • 0 to 1 year of related experience
  • must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources
  • bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • BLS/CPR certification preferred
  • employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance
  • employees must log mileage and submit mileage expense reports to receive reimbursement
  • walking, talking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10 pounds
  • hand and wrist dexterity to utilize a computer

Job Duties

  • greet medical clinic patients upon arrival, collect necessary information, and get patients checked in
  • receive phone calls and screen and direct calls
  • schedule appointments, coordinate with staff, facilitate appointment cancellations, and reschedule requests
  • verify patient insurance information
  • make appointment reminder phone calls
  • complete medical clinic front office administrative tasks
  • order and maintain front desk supplies
  • file documents and follow record retention policies
  • perform other duties as assigned
