Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent or a combination of education and related work experience
- associate's degree or equivalent or a combination of education and related work experience preferred
- 0 to 1 year of related experience
- must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources
- bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- BLS/CPR certification preferred
- employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance
- employees must log mileage and submit mileage expense reports to receive reimbursement
- walking, talking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10 pounds
- hand and wrist dexterity to utilize a computer
Job Qualifications
- knowledge of administrative support processes and procedures
- knowledge of basic medical terminology
- high level of professionalism, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and eClinicWorks (eCW) or similar
- ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality
- ability to type accurately and efficiently
- ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards
- ability to pleasantly and effectively represent the organization
Job Duties
- greet medical clinic patients upon arrival, collect necessary information, and get patients checked in
- receive phone calls and screen and direct calls
- schedule appointments, coordinate with staff, facilitate appointment cancellations, and reschedule requests
- verify patient insurance information
- make appointment reminder phone calls
- complete medical clinic front office administrative tasks
- order and maintain front desk supplies
- file documents and follow record retention policies
- perform other duties as assigned
