Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years experience in healthcare operations or customer service preferred
- strong communication skills
- proficiency with computer software applications including Microsoft Office and EMRs
- ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- ability to multitask and prioritize duties
- capability to work independently and collaboratively
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- associates or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or similar setting preferred
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMRs)
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- ability to multitask and prioritize
- experience handling confidential information in compliance with HIPAA
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Create a positive work environment
- support in-office clinician and staff engagement activities
- conduct schedule prep process for patients
- manage general office duties including mail sorting, scanning, and office upkeep
- communicate effectively with peers, clinicians, and patients
- provide exceptional customer service and handle sensitive situations
- manage front desk responsibilities including patient check-in and check-out
- respond to patient requests via phone, email, and portal
- manage phone system queues ensuring timely call responses
- assist patients with telehealth and portal access
- triage urgent patient requests
- collect co-payments and account balances
- complete insurance eligibility verification
- provide general clinician support with administrative tasks
- coordinate with clinicians on patient questions
- audit clinician schedules for accuracy
- maintain a secure and motivational working environment
