Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or similar role preferred
  • ability to multitask and prioritize duties effectively
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR software
  • knowledge of HIPAA and handling of sensitive data
  • ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • excellent customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • associates or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare operations or customer service preferred
  • strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMRs)
  • ability to handle sensitive and confidential information compliant with HIPAA
  • ability to multitask and prioritize duties
  • ability to work independently and as a team member

Job Duties

  • Create a positive work environment
  • be a culture carrier and support in-office clinician and staff engagement activities to promote LFST culture, engagement, and connection
  • conduct schedule prep process for all patients to ensure all paperwork and documentation is complete, credit card on file is current, demographics are accurate, and patient chart is prepared
  • handle general office duties including cleanliness, sorting mail, scanning documents, e-faxes, managing shared office email and office upkeep to ensure smooth practice operations
  • communicate with peers, clinicians, and patients in ways that support patient care and clinician satisfaction
  • provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to patient needs and managing difficult or sensitive situations using Crisis and De-escalation Processes
  • manage front desk responsibilities including greeting and checking patients in/out in a courteous manner
  • provide patient support through phone, email, and portal for billing, scheduling, release requests, and other inquiries
  • manage phone system queues ensuring timely response to calls
  • assist patients with telehealth access, Patient Portal issues, and troubleshooting
  • handle urgent requests by triaging patient concerns and escalating as needed
  • collect in-person and telehealth co-payments and account balances at time of service
  • complete insurance eligibility verification and resolve issues by contacting patients
  • provide general clinician support including assisting with administrative questions, sending letters and faxes
  • coordinate with clinicians regarding additional patient questions
  • audit clinician schedules for appointment accuracy
  • maintain a secure, pleasant, and motivational working environment in the practice
