Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or similar role preferred
- ability to multitask and prioritize duties effectively
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR software
- knowledge of HIPAA and handling of sensitive data
- ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- excellent customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- associates or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare operations or customer service preferred
- strong communication skills both written and verbal
- proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMRs)
- ability to handle sensitive and confidential information compliant with HIPAA
- ability to multitask and prioritize duties
- ability to work independently and as a team member
Job Duties
- Create a positive work environment
- be a culture carrier and support in-office clinician and staff engagement activities to promote LFST culture, engagement, and connection
- conduct schedule prep process for all patients to ensure all paperwork and documentation is complete, credit card on file is current, demographics are accurate, and patient chart is prepared
- handle general office duties including cleanliness, sorting mail, scanning documents, e-faxes, managing shared office email and office upkeep to ensure smooth practice operations
- communicate with peers, clinicians, and patients in ways that support patient care and clinician satisfaction
- provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to patient needs and managing difficult or sensitive situations using Crisis and De-escalation Processes
- manage front desk responsibilities including greeting and checking patients in/out in a courteous manner
- provide patient support through phone, email, and portal for billing, scheduling, release requests, and other inquiries
- manage phone system queues ensuring timely response to calls
- assist patients with telehealth access, Patient Portal issues, and troubleshooting
- handle urgent requests by triaging patient concerns and escalating as needed
- collect in-person and telehealth co-payments and account balances at time of service
- complete insurance eligibility verification and resolve issues by contacting patients
- provide general clinician support including assisting with administrative questions, sending letters and faxes
- coordinate with clinicians regarding additional patient questions
- audit clinician schedules for appointment accuracy
- maintain a secure, pleasant, and motivational working environment in the practice
