Job Requirements

  • minimum of a high school degree
  • one to two years experience in healthcare or medical practice preferred
  • excellent customer relations skills
  • demonstrated computer proficiency or willingness to learn
  • familiarity with medical terminology
  • ability to operate CRT keyboard and/or typewriter
  • knowledge of insurance carrier regulations and billing procedures
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • high level of patience and tact
  • professional attitude and appearance
  • initiative and assertiveness in resolving problems

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of a high school degree
  • vocational training in medical receptionist and medical billing preferred
  • one to two years experience in healthcare or medical practice preferred
  • excellent customer relations skills
  • proficiency in computer usage or demonstrated willingness to learn
  • knowledge of medical terminology
  • strong oral and written communication skills
  • ability to operate CRT keyboard and/or typewriter
  • understanding of third-party insurance regulations and billing procedures

Job Duties

  • greet and assist patients and visitors upon arrival
  • schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • manage patient check-in and check-out processes
  • verify insurance information and process billing details in coordination with third-party carriers
  • maintain accurate and confidential patient records using electronic systems
  • communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and external healthcare providers
  • handle inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and tact
