Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or higher
  • 1 plus years of medical or healthcare receptionist experience
  • 1 plus years of customer service experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or higher
  • 1 plus years of medical or healthcare receptionist experience
  • 1 plus years of customer service experience
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with an electronic health record (EPIC preferred)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding

Job Duties

  • Schedule and triage appointment requests for urgency according to approved protocols
  • Answer incoming and make outgoing calls regarding appointment requests and follow up
  • Use call processing and other applicable functionality in the EHR to take messages and communicate with clinicians
  • Greet patients and conduct check-in process
  • Monitor daily reminder call logs to reschedule appointments as needed
  • Scan and index documents into the EHR ensuring necessary documents and lab results are available before patient visits
  • Close payment batches at the end of each shift and balance batches according to cash control procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of current OSHA and ProHealth policies
  • Assist coworkers as needed to ensure smooth office operation and excellent service
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
