Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- associates or bachelor's degree preferred
- minimum 1 year experience in healthcare operations or customer service
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMRs
- ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- capable of working both independently and collaboratively
- knowledge of crisis and de-escalation processes
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or a similar role preferred
- strong communication skills both written and verbal
- proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMRs)
- ability to multitask and prioritize
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- comfort handling sensitive and confidential information including HIPAA compliance
Job Duties
- Create a positive work environment
- be a culture carrier and support in-office clinician and staff engagement activities to promote LFST culture, engagement, and connection
- conduct schedule prep process for all patients to ensure paperwork and documentation are complete, credit card on file is current, demographics are accurate, and patient chart is prepared
- perform general office duties including sorting mail, scanning documents, managing e-faxes, shared office email, and office upkeep to ensure smooth operation
- communicate effectively with peers, clinicians, and patients to support patient care and clinician satisfaction
- provide exceptional customer service by responding quickly and appropriately to patient needs and managing difficult or sensitive situations following crisis and de-escalation processes
- manage front desk responsibilities including greeting and checking patients in/out courteously
- support patients via phone, email, and portal with payment/billing questions, scheduling, release requests, and miscellaneous inquiries
- manage phone system queues to ensure timely answers
- assist patients with telehealth access and patient portal troubleshooting
- triage urgent patient requests and direct to correct departments or escalate as needed
- collect co-payments and account balances at time of service
- complete insurance eligibility verification and resolve related patient issues
- provide general clinician support including administrative assistance and schedule auditing
- maintain a pleasant, secure, and motivational working environment
