Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • associates or bachelor's degree preferred
  • minimum 1 year experience in healthcare operations or customer service
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMRs
  • ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • capable of working both independently and collaboratively
  • knowledge of crisis and de-escalation processes

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or a similar role preferred
  • strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMRs)
  • ability to multitask and prioritize
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • comfort handling sensitive and confidential information including HIPAA compliance

Job Duties

  • Create a positive work environment
  • be a culture carrier and support in-office clinician and staff engagement activities to promote LFST culture, engagement, and connection
  • conduct schedule prep process for all patients to ensure paperwork and documentation are complete, credit card on file is current, demographics are accurate, and patient chart is prepared
  • perform general office duties including sorting mail, scanning documents, managing e-faxes, shared office email, and office upkeep to ensure smooth operation
  • communicate effectively with peers, clinicians, and patients to support patient care and clinician satisfaction
  • provide exceptional customer service by responding quickly and appropriately to patient needs and managing difficult or sensitive situations following crisis and de-escalation processes
  • manage front desk responsibilities including greeting and checking patients in/out courteously
  • support patients via phone, email, and portal with payment/billing questions, scheduling, release requests, and miscellaneous inquiries
  • manage phone system queues to ensure timely answers
  • assist patients with telehealth access and patient portal troubleshooting
  • triage urgent patient requests and direct to correct departments or escalate as needed
  • collect co-payments and account balances at time of service
  • complete insurance eligibility verification and resolve related patient issues
  • provide general clinician support including administrative assistance and schedule auditing
  • maintain a pleasant, secure, and motivational working environment
