Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience in healthcare or customer service
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Attention to detail
- Positive attitude and teamwork skills
- Willingness to comply with patient-facing TB screening program
- Ability to work under supervision and follow established guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year or more experience in a healthcare setting preferred but strong customer service background considered
- Passion for improving patient experiences and care
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Team player with positive attitude
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and highly organized
- Knowledge of MS Office including Word Excel Outlook and Access
- Experience with value-based care model preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience with EMR systems preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Greeting patients and visitors professionally both in person and over the phone
- Scheduling appointments and managing appointment calendars
- Maintaining and updating patient records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Handling billing and payments including collecting copays
- Responding to patient inquiries and providing general information
- Maintaining the reception area tidy and well-stocked
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and managing office inventory
