Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous customer service experience
  • ability to use Electronic Health Record systems
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multitask effectively
  • attention to detail
  • commitment to providing exceptional patient service
  • medical office experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience
  • one year medical office experience preferred
  • strong oral and written communication skills
  • detail-oriented
  • ability to multitask
  • experience in a medical setting preferred
  • new graduates from certified medical assistant or receptionist programs welcome

Job Duties

  • Greeting every patient with a smile
  • completing and updating patients' insurance information with accuracy and efficiency
  • utilizing the Electronic Health Record system to complete the registration process and facilitate patients' visits
  • completing the check out process by assisting with scheduling future appointments and providing referral information
  • verifying insurance eligibility to ensure timely billing
  • collecting co-pays and deductibles as directed by billing policies
  • answering appointment calls and managing email appointment requests
  • scheduling appointments at office sites or diagnostic departments
  • maintaining exceptional service and professional, warm patient encounters
