Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or valid work permit if between ages 15-17
  • 1-2 years experience in medical or physician office or customer service environment preferred
  • understanding of verification of insurances
  • excellent written, verbal and face-to-face communication skills including proper phone etiquette
  • proficient in patient care procedures and organizational policies
  • service-oriented and courteous
  • proficient in operating standard desktop and Windows-based computer system including EMR, Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
  • ability to compute mathematical calculations
  • knowledge of medical terminology
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • ability to cross-train in other practice areas
  • good organizational and time management skills
  • ability to exercise sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • ability to handle confidential patient and organizational information
