Job Description
ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers is a reputable and rapidly expanding urgent care provider located in Maryland. The company prides itself on delivering high-quality healthcare services to the local community, emphasizing patient care, convenience, and timely medical attention. With a commitment to enhancing healthcare outcomes, ExpressCare operates multiple centers designed to handle non-emergency medical conditions efficiently. The organization values a collaborative work environment where every team member contributes to creating a positive patient experience. Their dedication to excellence has positioned them as a trusted healthcare resource for families and individuals seeking urgent medical assistance outside of traditional hospital settings.
We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join the ExpressCare team, a critical role that acts as the first point of contact for patients. The ideal candidate will be friendly, self-motivated, compassionate, and capable of multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Medical Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient registration, and supporting day-to-day administrative functions. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to maintain professionalism while managing multiple responsibilities.
In this role, the Medical Receptionist will greet and register patients, update demographic information, verify insurance details, and maintain accurate records within the electronic medical record system (EMR). Additional duties include managing inbound telephone calls, performing payment processing, and assisting with general office tasks such as faxing, emailing, and organizing paperwork. Maintaining a clean and welcoming reception area is also an important aspect of the job to ensure patients feel comfortable and valued when arriving at the center.
This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic healthcare team and make a positive impact on patient care experiences. The Medical Receptionist’s role is instrumental in supporting healthcare providers by managing administrative workflows efficiently, allowing clinicians to focus on patient care. Candidates looking for a rewarding career in healthcare administration will find this role a valuable opportunity to develop their skills and grow within a fast-paced medical environment.
