The current job opportunity is for a Medical Receptionist position located onsite at the Victory Heights Clinic in Savannah. Reporting directly to the Center Administrator, this role involves a combination of administrative and front-office clinical duties at an outpatient clinic setting. The Medical Receptionist is a key patient-facing role and plays a critical part in creating a welcoming environment for patients and visitors while supporting clinical operations. Employees handling this role are subject to a Tuberculosis (TB) screening program, emphasizing the patient safety and health compliance standards maintained by the organization.
This full-time role entails working 40 hours per week, with an estimated annual salary range between $38,000 and $45,800, reflecting geographic and individual variations. Additionally, incumbents are eligible to participate in a bonus incentive plan based on company and individual performance metrics.
The Medical Receptionist duties include operating a multi-line switchboard, managing visitor logs and issuing passes, responding to routine inquiries related to clinic services and operations, and administrative tasks such as booking meeting rooms, handling mail, and coordinating courier packages. The position requires a high school diploma or GED with at least one year of medical reception experience. Familiarity with medical terminology and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is essential to succeed in this role. Those with experience in value-based care models and bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are preferred candidates, which aligns with CenterWell’s commitment to culturally competent care in diverse communities.

Job Duties
- Operates a switchboard or multi-line phone and maintains long distance call logs
- greets visitors and determines the nature of their visit, issues visitor passes and maintains visitor logs, alerts appropriate party of visitor arrival or directs visitors to appropriate office, department or employee
- responds to routine inquiries from internal or external sources such as the organization’s location, hours of operation, phone numbers, and/or email address
- performs miscellaneous administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, receiving and sending courier packages
- participates as a patient-facing role in the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program
- supports clinical and administrative operations through effective communication and organizational skills
- maintains confidentiality and professional demeanor in all patient interactions
