Job Description
CenterWell Senior Primary Care, a leading healthcare services provider and a part of Humana Inc., is dedicated to offering proactive and personalized care to senior patients. The organization emphasizes a holistic approach to health, focusing not only on physical well-being but also on emotional and social factors that affect its patients. CenterWell's integrated care teams comprising physicians, nurses, behavioral health specialists, and other healthcare professionals spend up to 50 percent more time with patients than typical care providers. This approach ensures comprehensive management of chronic conditions, wellness visits, screenings, and minor injury treatments, resulting in better patient outcomes. As a reputable healthcare entity, CenterWell Senior Primary Care operates with a focus on accessibility, personalized care, and preventive healthcare services tailored specifically to the needs of older adults.
The role of Receptionist is vital to maintaining the welcoming and compassionate environment at CenterWell. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, the Receptionist ensures a warm and professional atmosphere throughout the healthcare facility. Reporting directly to the Center Administrator, David Wurth, this onsite position entails managing front desk operations, supporting clinical staff, and facilitating smooth workflows within a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate excels at multitasking and demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, particularly in patient-facing scenarios. In addition to greeting patients and scheduling appointments, the Receptionist is responsible for handling confidential patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems, managing patient accounts, and collecting co-pays when necessary. The role also involves maintaining an organized reception area, coordinating supply orders, managing inventory, and overseeing courier logistics.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care and experience positively. The role includes participation in the company’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program, which requires TB screening upon hire. Candidates with previous experience in healthcare customer service, retail, hospitality, or call centers are highly encouraged to apply. Familiarity with MS Office tools is essential for efficient reporting and workflow optimization. The Receptionist position is full-time with scheduled weekly hours of 40 hours and offers a competitive salary range from $38,000 to $45,800 annually, with eligibility for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and company performance.
Humana, the parent company, offers a robust benefits package designed to support the overall health and well-being of its employees and their families. Benefits begin on day one and include health coverage, paid time off, holidays, jury duty pay, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, tuition assistance, scholarships for dependents, parental and caregiver leave, employee charity matching programs, network resource groups (NRGs), and career development opportunities. Humana is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and non-discrimination in the workplace, emphasizing affirmative action in compliance with federal regulations.
