Job Description
ECHO Community Healthcare is a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services to a diverse population, including those insured, uninsured, under-insured, and homeless. With over 100 passionate team members, ECHO embraces a mission-driven approach to serve the community in a positive, supportive, and collaborative environment. The organization operates six full-time clinics, serving approximately 15,000 patients, and offers a wide range of clinical and community outreach services. Established to bridge healthcare gaps in the community, ECHO Community Healthcare is committed to inclusivity and accessibility for all individuals who seek medical attention.
The role of Medical Receptionist at the John Street location is an essential frontline position responsible for ensuring smooth operations at the clinic's front desk. This full-time role involves welcoming patients, managing registrations, processing payments, and supporting clinical staff through various administrative tasks. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with no evening, weekend, or holiday shifts, supporting a balanced work-life environment. Employees enjoy a generous benefits package from day one, including 13 paid holidays. This position suits individuals with excellent customer service skills who are attentive to detail, capable of multi-tasking, and committed to delivering a welcoming and efficient experience for patients.
The Medical Receptionist ensures that every patient’s first impression of ECHO is positive and professional, as they are the initial point of contact upon entering the clinic. Duties include data entry, patient registration, cashiering, completing necessary forms, phone triage by directing calls to the appropriate healthcare professionals, filing, updating electronic medical records, and scanning documents. Experience with EPIC electronic medical records software is preferred, enhancing the ability to perform these tasks accurately and efficiently. This position supports clinical operations in a Primary Care outpatient setting, making it central to the care delivery process.
ECHO Community Healthcare offers a supportive work culture emphasizing personal and professional growth. Their comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, life insurance options, employee assistance programs, and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer matching, reflects their commitment to employee well-being. Prospective candidates interested in joining a healthcare community-focused organization that values teamwork and dedication are encouraged to consider this opportunity. No phone inquiries are requested to respect the recruitment process and candidate privacy.
