Job Description
United Health Centers (UHC) is a community-focused healthcare provider committed to delivering accessible, high-quality medical services across multiple state-of-the-art health centers. Renowned for its dedication to patient-centered care, UHC plays a vital role in improving the health and well-being of local communities by providing comprehensive, accessible health care services regardless of patients' backgrounds or economic status. The organization embraces innovation, compassionate care, and community involvement, making it a trusted healthcare partner for those it serves. With a team of professionals who are passionate about health and wellness, UHC fosters a collaborative and supportive work environment where every staff member contributes meaningfully to the mission of enhancing community health.
We are currently seeking Front Office Medical Receptionists to join our dynamic team at one of our advanced health centers. This full-time role offers an hourly wage starting at $21, with actual salary commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills, and knowledge. Comprehensive benefits accompany the position, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals eager to advance their healthcare careers while making a positive community impact.
The Medical Receptionists at UHC serve as the first point of contact for patients, positioning themselves as essential ambassadors of the health center's values and commitment to care. This role requires a friendly, professional individual who can manage front office operations efficiently, ensuring smooth patient flow and an organized reception environment. These team members work closely with the Medical Reception Supervisor and clinic management to provide clerical support, maintain order in equipment and supplies, and accurately collect and record patient information.
In addition to administrative tasks, Medical Receptionists play a critical role in supporting the organizational mission by ensuring patients and their families receive timely and compassionate care. Effective communication is paramount, as the role involves constant interaction with patients, providers, and internal teams. Participation in health center in-services and meetings fosters continuous learning and teamwork, helping to uphold high standards of patient care.
Flexibility is key in this position as Medical Receptionists may be required to work extended or varied hours. Upholding confidentiality and privacy regulations is a fundamental aspect of the role, guaranteeing patients’ sensitive information is protected. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, and a positive attitude that reflects UHC's caring culture. Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are preferred but not required, enhancing communication with a diverse patient population.
This position also demands physical capabilities such as the ability to lift and push objects, clear auditory and verbal communication skills, as well as manual dexterity to manage computer and clerical tasks efficiently. UHC values dependability, problem-solving capability, and leadership qualities in its medical receptionists, as these attributes contribute to a well-functioning, responsive healthcare environment.
Joining UHC as a Medical Receptionist means becoming part of a dedicated team that appreciates the importance of compassionate healthcare delivery. It's an opportunity to grow professionally while making a meaningful difference in the health outcomes of community members. This role is highly suited for individuals who are customer-service oriented, detail-focused, and willing to contribute positively to a collaborative healthcare setting, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all patients and visitors.
