Within this framework, Unity Health seeks a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join their expanding Family Medicine and Internal Medicine team. This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The position is based at 4465 Darrow Rd., Stow, OH. As a Medical Receptionist, the successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting both the care team and their patients through efficient administrative support and excellent customer service. This includes greeting and checking in patients promptly, scheduling appointments using established protocols, handling telephone inquiries, and managing payments. The role requires proficiency in maintaining accurate patient records via the electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring confidentiality of personal health information, and balancing patient interactions with administrative duties.

The Medical Receptionist acts as the frontline representative of the healthcare practice, fostering a welcoming environment that supports patient satisfaction and streamlined operations. The position demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively within a fast-paced setting. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • at least 1 year of receptionist or customer service experience
  • basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • commitment to patient confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of receptionist or customer service experience
  • beginner level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • experience working in a primary care setting preferred
  • experience working with ECW preferred

Job Duties

  • Conduct check-in and check-out process
  • answer incoming calls and use EHR to document details of patient inquiries
  • conduct outreach to patients requiring appointments or service follow-up
  • schedule appointments using standard scheduling protocols
  • manage administrative in-basket pools and work queues
  • scan documents into the EHR per standard protocols
  • balance payments and prepare deposits
  • protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal and financial information
  • perform other duties as assigned
