Job Description

American Family Care (AFC) is a leading healthcare provider in the United States specializing in primary and urgent care services. With over 250 clinics nationwide and more than 800 in-network physicians, AFC delivers patient-centric healthcare that focuses on convenience, quality, and compassionate service. The company operates seven days a week on a walk-in basis, providing state-of-the-art medical centers equipped with onsite labs and in-house X-ray capabilities to effectively treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries, as well as offering workers' compensation and occupational medicine services. AFC's reputation as a fast-growing and innovative healthcare company has been recognized by Inc. magazine, highlighting its commitment to accessible medical care for millions of patients annually.

This particular position is linked to a franchised business location of AFC, which means some specific job duties, benefits, and compensation details might vary from company-owned clinics. However, as part of AFC’s overall mission, this role is integral in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience by delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate patient records and financial transactions.

The role focuses on patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining comprehensive patient accounts. The employee will be responsible for preparing the clinic each day, greeting patients, managing patient registration and records updates, addressing billing details, and balancing daily financial activities. Additionally, this role demands excellent communication skills to assist patients, schedule follow-up appointments, and ensure clear documentation. Employees are expected to uphold a professional and well-groomed appearance and demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in all responsibilities.

American Family Care emphasizes growth opportunities with its staff, encouraging training and development alongside competitive benefits packages at company-owned locations such as health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement benefits including 401(k) matching, paid time off, and employee discounts. AFC is a great environment for individuals seeking meaningful work where they can make a difference in people’s lives while building a rewarding career in the healthcare industry. The company values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer, supporting inclusivity for all prospective employees.

Joining AFC offers the chance to be part of a dynamic healthcare team dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-focused care in a kind and supportive setting. If you have a passion for healthcare administration and enjoy working in a fast-paced, patient-oriented environment, this position provides a fulfilling opportunity with room for personal and professional advancement.
