Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 16 years of age required
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service to physicians, patients and other internal/external customers
  • Ability to work professionally with physicians, clinic staff and patients in a timely, confidential manner
  • Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to team environment
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • One year post-secondary education in business, medical assistant, or nursing assistant program preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service or medical scheduling preferred
  • Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant credentials preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred depending on position availability

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors in person and via telephone
  • Answer incoming calls professionally and efficiently
  • Check-in and check-out patients according to established protocols
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the clinic calendar
  • Register patients, including verifying insurance and collecting necessary information
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, clinic staff, and patients
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling patient information
