Trinity Health Of New England is part of a larger network renowned for its commitment to quality, compassionate, and patient-centered care. The organization emphasizes a mission-driven team environment where employees are valued for their unique perspectives, experiences, and talents, which in turn fosters a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.
This role is a full-time position based on the day shift at the primary care team located in Watertown, which means it offers a consistent and predictable work schedule conducive to work-life balance. As a Medical Receptionist / Business Services Representative, you will be a vital part of the patient care experience by ensuring smooth patient flow within the practice. Your responsibilities will include important business functions such as greeting patients warmly and professionally either in person or over the phone, scheduling patient appointments efficiently following department protocols, and managing patient registration processes with accuracy.
A key part of this role involves verifying insurance details, handling copay and point of service collections, and managing prior authorizations, precertifications, and referrals which are critical to maintaining compliance and ensuring seamless patient access to care. You will also support clinical staff and providers by preparing charts and managing incoming and outgoing communications such as faxes. This administrative and clerical support is essential to the smooth operation of the healthcare facility.
Proficiency in computer skills, especially within a Windows environment and using Microsoft Office products, is required to perform these tasks accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate has previous experience working in a medical office or billing department, coupled with knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology. This role offers excellent opportunities for career growth and advancement within the organization, which values its employees and fosters their professional development.
In addition to working in a mission-driven and supportive team environment, employees receive great benefits that start from day one, including but not limited to health and dental insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plans. Trinity Health Of New England is committed to honoring the dignity of every person and upholding a workplace that embraces diversity and inclusion.
