Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or higher
- One or more years of receptionist or equivalent customer service or admin-related experience
- Ability to work full-time hours including rotating Saturdays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency including experience with EHR systems
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Knowledge of current OSHA and healthcare policies
- Ability to provide friendly, patient-focused service
- Willingness to float to local practices as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or higher
- One or more years of receptionist or equivalent customer service or administrative-related experience
- Experience working with an electronic health record
- Office administrative, receptionist, or clerical experience in a medical environment
- Customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or related fields
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Job Duties
- Schedule and triage appointment requests for urgency according to approved protocols consistent with ProHealth's Appointment and Scheduling Guidelines
- Consult medical assistant or licensed clinician for clinical decision making when necessary
- Use call processing and other applicable functionality in the EHR to take messages and communicate with clinicians
- Greet patients and conduct check-in process
- Monitor daily reminder call logs to reschedule appointments as needed
- Scan and index documents into the EHR ensuring necessary documents, lab results, etc. are available in advance of patient visits
- Close payment batches at the end of each shift and balance them according to cash control procedures
- Maintain knowledge of current OSHA and ProHealth policies
- Assist coworkers as needed to ensure smooth office operation and excellent service
- Perform other duties as assigned
