Job Description

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is a prominent healthcare provider specializing in delivering personalized, comprehensive care tailored specifically to the senior population. As part of Humana Inc., a leading healthcare services company listed on the NYSE under the ticker HUM, CenterWell Senior Primary Care brings a unique approach to patient wellbeing by focusing on proactive and preventive healthcare services. Their integrated care teams consist of a wide range of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and behavioral health specialists, who spend up to fifty percent more time with patients to provide individualized attention and care. This commitment to compassionate, patient-focused service emphasizes not just physical health but also considers other important factors such as emotional and social wellness that can impact overall health outcomes. The company prides itself on creating a workplace culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring an open and supportive environment for employees and patients alike.

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is actively seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join their West Augusta Clinic as part of their onsite team. Reporting directly to the Center Administrator, this role plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery process by serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. The Medical Receptionist’s duties include greeting patients warmly both in person and over the phone, scheduling appointments efficiently while coordinating with medical staff, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, and managing billing and payment processes including collection of copayments when necessary.

This full-time role requires forty scheduled hours per week and offers a competitive salary range of $38,000 to $45,800 annually, commensurate with experience, skills, certifications, and educational background. The position is classified as patient-facing and therefore entails participation in the company's Tuberculosis screening program, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of both staff and patients. The Medical Receptionist role also calls for strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced clinic environment.

CenterWell and its parent company Humana provide an extensive benefits package designed to support employees' total health and wellness. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance plans that help meet healthcare needs, a 401(k) retirement savings plan to secure financial futures, and various forms of paid time off including personal, parental, volunteer, and company holidays. Additional benefits such as short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, and professional growth opportunities make this a highly attractive employment opportunity.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a high school diploma or GED, with at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred though candidates with robust customer service backgrounds in retail, hospitality, or call centers will also be considered. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with value-based care models, knowledge of medical terminology, experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, and bilingual ability in English and Spanish, which enhances communication within a diverse patient population.

This is an excellent chance to become part of a caring community that prioritizes patient-centered service and holistic health. If you are an organized, compassionate individual looking to utilize your skills in a meaningful healthcare role, the Medical Receptionist position at CenterWell Senior Primary Care offers not only rewarding challenges but also the opportunity to grow with a respected leader in senior healthcare services.
