Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working as a receptionist or front office representative in a medical setting
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Dependable and punctual with a professional appearance
  • Basic computer skills including filing faxing scanning and data entry

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion
  • Check patients in and out ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information
  • Answer screen and route incoming phone calls in a timely manner
  • Schedule confirm and coordinate patient appointments
  • Maintain patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding patient flow and needs
  • Ensure the reception area is clean organized and stocked with necessary materials
  • Handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Assist patients with forms questions and general inquiries
  • Perform general clerical duties such as filing faxing scanning and data entry
  • Support the care team by helping manage daily workflow and patient coordination
