Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year or more of experience in healthcare or strong customer service background
- excellent communication skills
- proficiency with MS Office applications
- ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- strong organizational skills
- positive attitude and ability to work well in a team
- willingness to follow established policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- 1 year or more of experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
- strong customer service background in retail, hospitality, or call centers considered
- excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- team player with a positive attitude
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- attention to detail and highly organized
- knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
- value-based care model experience preferred
- knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
- bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- greeting patients professionally both in person and over the phone
- scheduling patient appointments and managing appointment calendars
- maintaining and updating patient records with accuracy and confidentiality
- handling billing and payments including collecting copays
- responding to patient inquiries and providing general information
- ensuring the reception area is tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked
- assisting with administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and managing office inventory
