The role of Medical Receptionist at CleanSlate Centers is vital as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, setting the foundation for a positive care experience. This position plays a key role in managing front desk operations, handling patient check-ins, scheduling provider appointments, and ensuring smooth daily workflows. Responsibilities include confirming and updating insurance and demographic details, coordinating appointment changes, assisting patients in maintaining treatment continuity, processing payments, and maintaining patient confidentiality. The Medical Receptionist is tasked with delivering courteous and effective communication, both in person and via phone, to support a seamless and compassionate patient journey. This role requires a compassionate mindset, excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency with electronic medical records and office software.   • 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced medical office
  • customer service and/or healthcare experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet patients with warmth, compassion, and professionalism
  • confirm and update insurance and demographic details at each visit
  • schedule and coordinate provider appointments, adjusting as needed
  • assist patients who missed appointments to encourage treatment continuity
  • handle prior authorizations and explain patient financial responsibilities
  • distribute, verify, and scan forms, including handbooks and intake documents
  • collect co-pays and process payments
  • set up payment plans when needed
  • maintain a clean, organized front office and uphold patient confidentiality
  • provide courteous, effective communication by phone and in person
  • participate in team huddles and contribute to a supportive work environment
