The company is known for fostering an inclusive culture that values diversity, innovation, and collaboration, making it an exceptional place for career growth and professional development.
ProHealth Physicians, a part of the Optum family, is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join their expanding Family Medicine team in Farmington, Connecticut. This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care. Your work directly supports the care team by facilitating communication and providing essential administrative assistance.
This position involves using electronic health records (EHR) daily to document patient interactions, schedule follow-ups, and manage administrative workflows. Flexibility is a key aspect of the role, as you may be required to provide coverage at different ProHealth locations in the region. The work schedule currently includes Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and Tuesday and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a potential adjustment in fall to a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. This role operates during regular business hours and offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.00 to $29.00, based on experience and qualifications.
As a Medical Receptionist with ProHealth Physicians, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive timely and organized care. Your responsibilities extend beyond front-desk duties to include managing payment processing, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive patient information, and assisting with administrative tasks such as scanning documents and managing electronic work queues. Optum’s commitment to equity and inclusion is reflected in its welcoming environment and dedication to mitigating healthcare disparities. Employees at Optum benefit from comprehensive health benefits, incentive programs, equity stock purchase options, and 401(k) contributions, all designed to support your professional and personal well-being.
Joining Optum means becoming part of a mission-driven company that prioritizes helping people live their healthiest lives while continually innovating to make the health system work better for everyone.
