The Vascular Surgical Specialists Clinic is seeking a dedicated Medical Office Receptionist to join their full-time team. This position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and is fundamental in supporting the clinic's operations by ensuring seamless front desk activities. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent required
- six months medical experience in a clinic strongly preferred
- six months business office customer service experience preferred
- ability to multitask front desk responsibilities for a busy Family Practice/Internal Medicine Clinic
- outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of insurance authorization and billing requirements
- proficiency with computer skills
- knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory requirements
- strong work ethic and professionalism
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- delivers care to patients utilizing the Medical Office Receptionist Process
- under direct supervision, performs patient check-in at the time of visit and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and compliant
- answers phone calls and directs them appropriately
- schedules appointments according to office guidelines
- obtains accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts
- copies and scans patient access related hard copy materials into the electronic medical record
- prepares charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete
- conducts patient check-out including pricing services, collecting payments, and scheduling follow-ups
- performs duties involving record filing and retrieval
- confirms next day appointments and alerts patients about required documentation
- follows up with patients regarding the Missed Appointment Policy and sends communications
- performs other duties as assigned
