As a Medical Office Receptionist at Primary Health Medical Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the best possible first impression and ongoing support throughout their visit. This full-time position offers a competitive starting pay of $17.25 per hour, commensurate with experience. In this role, you will serve as the welcoming face and voice of the medical group, greeting patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism. Your responsibilities will include managing phone lines, registering and scheduling patients accurately, collecting and verifying insurance and demographic information, and handling payment transactions such as co-pays and deductibles. You will also be expected to perform essential office tasks like scanning and faxing documents, responding to inquiries within your scope of practice, and referring patients to appropriate departments when necessary. Your ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and friendly demeanor is critical to your success.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience
- Healthcare experience is preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Computer proficiency
- Recommended vaccines including annual influenza, TDaP, MMR, Varicella, and TB

Job Duties
- Have the highest quality customer service on the phone and in person
- Greet patients and visitors, determine their needs and direct them appropriately
- Perform data entry of demographic and insurance information
- Schedule and register patients, including accurately collecting required data
- Receive, answer, and respond to telephone calls from patients and their representatives
- Scan and fax patient information
- Answer questions and give information directly or on the telephone within the scope of practice, refer all other questions to the specified departments as needed
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and past balances as indicated on the insurance card or as documented by billing staff, update new insurance information as received
- Perform other duties as assigned
