The Patient Navigator role at Healogics is critical to the smooth operation of dynamic outpatient wound care centers. The Patient Navigator is responsible for coordinating daily patient flow to maximize center efficiency and ensure excellent patient experiences. The hourly rate for this position generally ranges from $18.75 to $23.05, depending on qualifications, experience, geography, and other factors. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum of two or more years office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting
- Prior medical coding experience preferred

Job Duties
- Coordinates with center leadership to maximize daily patient census
- Actively participates in staff meetings to support key functions within the center
- Greets patients and other visitors, answers and routes calls to appropriate staff
- Maintains all patient communication needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders
- Obtains and verifies patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations
- Collects and enters patient charges in databases
- Verifies and reconciles charges as directed, prepares monthly patient survey data and documentation
- Assembles new patient charts, maintains and files existing charts, and spot checks for data completeness
- Coordinates and schedules ancillary testing with other hospital departments
- Arranges for patient transportation as needed
- Maintains office and medical supplies as directed
- Performs other duties as required
