Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical or outpatient clinic front desk role
- Ability to handle patient check-in and check-out processes accurately
- Experience with insurance verification and copay collection preferred
- Excellent communication skills both in-person and on the phone
- Proficiency with computer software including Google Workspace
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Availability to work flexible part-time hours in Augusta, GA
- Reliable, personable, and professional attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ year of experience in a medical office, outpatient clinic, or healthcare front desk setting preferred
- Experience collecting copays and verifying insurance is a plus
- Friendly, polite, and professional demeanor in person and on the phone
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable with Google Workspace and able to learn EHR systems quickly
- Must be available to work in-person at our Augusta, GA office
Job Duties
- Greet patients and check them in and out accurately and efficiently
- Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and intake paperwork at each visit
- Collect copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and outstanding balances at time of service
- Schedule follow-up appointments and provide patients with visit summaries or next-step instructions at checkout
- Answer inbound calls, respond to patient inquiries, and route messages to appropriate clinical staff
- Make outbound calls for appointment confirmations, follow-ups, and no-show rescheduling
- Schedule new and returning patients, manage cancellations, and maintain waitlists
- Process and track incoming referrals from hospitals, primary care offices, and other providers
- Coordinate with referral sources to ensure timely patient scheduling and follow-through
- Enter and maintain accurate patient data in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Provide general administrative support to clinical and office staff as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times
