Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum of six months experience with computer Microsoft Office and email
  • minimum of six months healthcare facility clinical experience
  • clinical education or enrollment in OSF Medical Group Prime Path Bridge Program or completion of a MedsCert Medical Assistant Program
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • some knowledge of medical terminology

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED

  • clinical education including current enrollment or completion of OSF Medical Group Prime Path Bridge Program
  • successful completion of a MedsCert Medical Assistant Program
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • some knowledge of medical terminology
  • completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent preferred
  • minimum of six months experience as a medical office assistant or certified nursing assistant or equivalent preferred
  • minimum of six months experience with an electronic health record preferred

Job Duties

  • perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with medical assistant program education training and experience
  • work in both clinical and front office functions providing clerical and healthcare support
  • assist in the delivery of patient care activities
  • manage patient records and coordinate schedules
  • facilitate communication between patients and healthcare staff
  • perform basic clinical procedures
  • support specific needs of the medical practice
