The role of Medical Education Associate within Stryker’s Craniomaxillofacial (CMF) team is pivotal in bridging the gap between cutting-edge medical technology and clinical practice. Located in Kalamazoo, MI, this hybrid position offers a unique blend of on-site and remote work options, tailored to meet business needs while promoting flexibility. The Medical Education Associate plays a crucial role in facilitating and planning world-class educational events aimed at enhancing patient outcomes. This involves close collaboration with the sales team and surgeon consultants to design and execute education programs that resonate with healthcare professionals. In this role, you will be entrusted with the comprehensive planning, coordination, and execution of events such as physician trainings and sales-led customer engagements. These events must be managed within defined budgets, strict compliance guidelines, and regulatory frameworks, ensuring that all activities meet the high standards expected by Stryker and the healthcare industry at large.
Key responsibilities include end-to-end event logistics encompassing registration, venue management, development of collateral materials, agenda planning, communication with attendees, and measuring event effectiveness through surveys and metrics. The Medical Education Associate also manages operational aspects such as setup and takedown, vendor coordination, equipment scheduling, and product shipping. Public speaking is an integral component of the role, involving presentations to internal teams and external audiences, contributing to effective communication and knowledge dissemination. Collaboration across departments such as marketing and sales is essential to align event requirements and logistics with business objectives. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and physicians is fundamental, as is the continuous development of knowledge related to CMF products, surgical procedures, and industry best practices. Travel is required to support educational events, with occasional weekend engagements. Additionally, comfort and experience working with cadaveric specimens is necessary due to the specialized nature of the educational content. Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Event planning logistics or hospitality experience preferred
- Experience with physician engagement customer relationship management and cross-functional collaboration preferred
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel Word and PowerPoint preferred
Job Duties
- Coordinate end-to-end event planning and logistics including registration venue management collateral development agendas attendee communications and post-course surveys and metrics to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Manage event operations including setup takedown vendor coordination equipment scheduling product ordering shipping
- Public speaking including presenting to sales training and other internal and external audiences
- Collaborate with marketing and other business partners to determine required products and logistics for all events
- Build strong relationships through customer and physician engagement delivering exceptional support before during and after educational events
- Continuously develop knowledge of CMF products and procedures and healthcare industry best practices
- Travel to educational events as needed with heavier travel on weekends
- Must be comfortable working with cadaveric specimen
