Located in the picturesque coastal city of Savannah, Georgia, the hospital benefits from a vibrant community offering exceptional quality of life, combining historic charm with modern amenities. This hospital is deeply invested in physician leadership and program growth, which is exemplified in its opportunity for a medical director to lead and expand its cardiothoracic surgery service line.
We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join us as the Medical Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery, a role that offers both clinical and leadership responsibilities. This hospital-employed position commands a competitive salary ranging from $850,000 to $1,100,000. It is a unique opportunity for a surgeon with a passion for program development, clinical excellence, and leadership in a collaborative multidisciplinary cardiovascular setting. As Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the cardiothoracic surgery program by leading strategic growth initiatives while maintaining an active surgical practice. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership to enhance the quality, efficiency, and outcomes of the cardiovascular surgical services.
This role encompasses a wide range of leadership duties including overseeing operational and quality performance, recruiting and mentoring physicians and clinical staff, and advancing evidence-based practices within the program. The position offers strong administrative and clinical support to empower you to successfully lead the team and service line. Additionally, the setting in coastal Georgia provides an excellent balance of professional advancement and personal lifestyle, with opportunities for outdoor recreation, cultural enrichment, and family-friendly communities.
