Job Description
American Expediting is a trusted and leading provider of health sciences delivery services, dedicated to ensuring timely and reliable transportation of critical medical materials. The company has built a reputation for delivering exceptional service and establishing strong client relationships, making it a preferred partner for medical facilities in need of expedited delivery solutions. With a focus on reliability, professionalism, and speed, American Expediting plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery ecosystem, helping save lives through the quick and safe transport of medical supplies and specimens.
American Expediting is currently seeking reliable and professional independent contractors to join their team as Medical Courier Drivers. This position is ideal for individuals who value flexible work hours and want to leverage their driving skills to contribute to a meaningful cause. As a 1099 independent contractor, the role requires the individual to provide their own minivan and operate within specific regional zones, including Dublin, Savannah, or Augusta, Georgia. This role operates Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering on-demand delivery services that are crucial to health science facilities.
This contractor position offers excellent earning potential with no cap on how much you can make, supported by competitive rates and a strong customer base. The main responsibility involves providing expedited delivery services to medical establishments, ensuring same-day delivery, maintaining a high standard of service quality, and exhibiting superior customer care. Success in this role depends on the driver’s ability to operate safely, follow protocols, and meet tight schedules, all while supporting the healthcare industry’s urgent delivery needs.
Contractors will play an integral part in the company’s mission by facilitating the speedy and secure transfer of medical materials and specimens needed to save lives. The independence of the contractor status offers flexibility but comes with the responsibility of managing vehicle insurance, tax reporting, and certification requirements. Despite this independence, American Expediting offers access to training for TSA certification and customer-specific medical certifications to ensure compliance and safety standards are met.
This is an ideal opportunity for dependable, self-motivated drivers who want to work as independent contractors, use their minivan, and make a tangible impact in the medical delivery field. The role provides a blend of autonomy, responsibility, and contribution to community health, making it not only a job but a service to the greater good. If you are a safe driver seeking a dynamic and meaningful independent contractor position, American Expediting welcomes your application.
